The Bison Pom Team is going into their third year as an organized team. The team began as a club sport in 2013 started by co-founders Sophia Stanley and Cami Sayre. In their first year the team performed at basketball games, won runner up at OBU's Spring Affair, and held their first showcase. The following year the team took to the football field and performed sidelines, during halftime, and even held a jr. spirit clinic for kids under 12. They finished their season with the annual showcase. This year the team hopes to continue dancing at sporting events as well as competing at college nationals in Florida.

The Bison Pom Team is a recreational and competitive dance team at Oklahoma Baptist University. Their goal as the first OBU dance team is to allow college dancers attending OBU to flourish in their passion for dance. In rehearsals, the team strives to provide artistic movements, advanced technique, and a shared passion for the gifts God has given them. For performances, they want to portray their skills to the best of their ability and praise God through their abilities. The team performs at OBU football games, basketball games, and assemblies, as well as Biggie, Spring Affair, and our own Bison Showcase in the spring. Oklahoma Baptist University pom team will exemplify Psalms 149:3 as their team motto and bring glory to God in all things.
